My Third Month of Investing: A Bet on Clean Energy

My third month on my investing journey is behind me, and I have to say that regular investing is already starting to feel like a natural part of my life. I still stick to my simple rule: invest at least €100 every month into stocks and index funds.

This month, I decided to focus on something I believe has huge importance for the future—clean energy. That’s why I added the iShares Global Clean Energy ETF to my portfolio.

Why this fund?

The world is gradually shifting toward sustainability and renewable energy sources. Governments, companies, and individuals are increasingly pushing for greener solutions, and this is creating strong growth potential for businesses operating in the clean energy sector.

What I like about this ETF is that it allows me to invest in multiple companies at once. I don’t have to pick a single winner—I get diversification across the entire sector, which I see as a major advantage.

The risks

Of course, there are risks. This sector can be volatile and sensitive to political decisions and subsidies. But again, my strategy is long-term. I’m not investing for quick profits, but for building capital over time.
